Family Camping Trip

Last Wednesday I left for a camping trip with my family, sadly Chris could not get work off so he didn't get to come. We went to Escalante,UT which was a 7 hour drive to the top of the mountain. It was pouring rain when we got there so we had to wait for the rain to stop before we could set up camp. Thursday we took the 4 wheelers up to the lake and spent most of the day fishing. The lake was gorgeous and we had great weather while fishing. I got a lot of sun and my nose and head got really burned. After more 4 wheeling we had a great dinner and roasted smores by the campfire. Friday was the same as Thursday, fishing and 4 wheeling. My nephew Jaedon caught his first fish and it was the biggest fish caught! Jaedon also got in an accident on Friday. He has his own mini 4 wheeler and as he was riding with his dad he took a corner too fast and fell off. He scraped his hand, arm and knee but luckily was not hurt. We had a great campfire and made cobbler and then went to bed. Saturday was spent driving home and I had a great shower that night (I love hot showers after camping)! It was a great trip and I had a fun time with my family. Hopefully Chris can come on the next camping trip!

My Handyman

As most of you know Chris and I own two houses. We own the house that we live in as well as a rental property. The siding on the rental property was taken off of the house about 10 years ago and was never redone. It is time to refinance the house and in order to do that we had to put siding on the house. So Chris took 2 days off work and taught himself how to side a house and this is the finished product. Chris did such a great job putting the siding on and I am very proud of him! I am kicking myself but I didn't get a before shot. Now if only we could get yards put in both houses...

Camping

So I got back from camping last night. I am now caught up on blogging, myspace, hotmail and the bank account. My eyes hurt from looking at the computer and I left my camera in my dad's car so pictures and post later, now for the laundry!

Party and Photos

Saturday I hosted a party for my friend Melanies birthday. We had some amazing ribs made by me, 4 wheeler rides around the neighborhood, awesome cheesecake and then we played a new card game (it may not be new but it was new to me). I had a VERY fun night and I think everyone else did to. The only thing that could've made the night better was a hubby! This is my first photo collage (thanks for the help April). I love the photo collage thing, so get ready to see more!

Perfect Ending!

We had a great 4th of July. We went to the Murray parade in the morning and I'm sorry but it was so boring. The best part of the parade was getting a flag from Jaedon (he was handing them out). The afternoon was spent making ice cream and salad. In the evening we had a huge BBQ at my mom's house, rode around the neighborhood on the 4 wheeler, played WII and ate great food. When it got dark enough we lit fireworks and then watched the Murray fireworks and ate homemade ice cream. It was a wonderful summer day and the fireworks were amazing! But the best part of the day was when DJ (who is 5) told me that I was SUPER, DUPER Cute! Move over Chris, I have a new man!

Happy 4th!

I am posting this today because tomorrow I am crazy busy.

Happy 4th of July to everyone. This is my favorite holiday. I will be spending the day with family and friends, having fun and eating great food. Thank you to the men and women that serve our country. And a big thanks to my brother-in-law for having the courage to leave his family and fight in Iraq for 1 year for my freedom. I am forever grateful to you! Have a great holiday everyone!

Proud Owners Part 2

I guess that I was busy at work while blogging yesterday and I forget to mention the whole reason why I posted about buying car seats. As I have been getting older there have been some moments where I have felt like an actual adult. These moments include getting married, buying 2 houses and now buying a car seat. These have been good moments, but scary ones. I am sure that there are more, but those are major ones thus far and I know that there will be more to come.
