We had Conner's 6 month doctors appointment today and Conner is getting so big! He weighs in at 18.5 lbs and 27 1/2 inches long and is head is, well, large! But the most exciting part of the day was getting Conner's 6 month photos taken. My friend at work found THIS great photographer so we decided to use her. Julie did a fantastic job with Conner and we got some great shots. Conner did not want to smile at all, but towards the end of the shoot we got a few smiles in. Julie has posted 3 pictures of Conner on her blog and will give us a disc in about 2 weeks so I will post more then!

So I knew that I was supposed to be Santa, The Easter Bunny and The Tooth Fairy but no one told me that the Leprechaun was supposed to come visit your house and leave a pot of gold! I think that they should document that in the packet they send you home with from the hospital, because I had no idea! Luckily, my kid is 6 months old and doesn't even know about leprechauns and he can't eat chocolate yet. I'm on it for next year though!

Our baby is 6 months old today! It makes me a little sad, but it is so fun to see him growing and learning new things each day. His appointment is not until the 26th so I don't have his stats yet. And we will be getting some pictures taken by THIS amazing photographer on the 26th as well, we are very excited for those! So until then, at 6 months Conner...

I've blogged a lot this weekend but one of my best friends had a baby a couple of days ago and I've been thinking since then.
I've been thinking that it's amazing...
To be pregnant.
To birth a child. I will never forget the day Conner was born and I often read his birth story out of my journal.
To hold a newborn child. Nothing in the world can describe that feeling.
To be able to raise this child and to see this child form into a person and learn new things and grow. This is happening way too quick too. My little baby turns 6 months old next week. I swear that I just gave birth to him.
To have a wonderful husband to lean on and turn to in time of need. I've been without him for almost a week now and I really could have used his shoulder to lean on.
To have great friends. I wish I saw them more, but such is life. I have great friends who are always there for me and I am lucky to have them.
To have great family. I know that I can always count on them and that they
will always be there as well.
To be able to provide for my child. Some people can't. I always complain about working, but I'm glad that Chris and I can provide our son with the necessities to live.
I think that's enough mushiness for a Saturday morning and I think that's all of my thoughts!

I have been on a decorating kick lately! It has taken me some time, but I have been working on a few projects and they are finally (almost) finished and I am ready to share them!
The first project is a picture ledge. I saw the idea on THIS blog and wanted to re create it in my home. I went to Ikea and purchased a PICTURE LEDGE and some frame less picture frames from HERE, blew up some pictures in black and white from Costco, added some bamboo from Ikea (bamboo was $2.99 and the pot was $.29!) and done!
I love the look of the frame less picture frames, I think it's classy with the black and white pictures. I originally purchased the frames from Ikea, but the sizes were really weird and my pictures would not fit correctly in them.
I plan on changing the pictures every few months!

I am so sick of winter and snow! I am ready for Spring and Summer so that we can plant some flowers, go on walks and play in the park! My house is even ready for Spring, see...
Hurry Up Spring!
