Playin Hooky

Last Friday my family played hooky from work and we spent the afternoon in Park City. We had a great lunch at The Eating Establishment and did a little bit of shopping. We finished off our afternoon with a drive through the Deer Valley Loop. The colors were amazing, there were so many variations of yellow, red and orange! This is the perfect time to go and see the leaves! I am so glad that I live in Utah and can take advantage of the mountains. And it was great to spend some time with my family!

P.S. The photos were taken by Chris! I am afraid of heights and that drive scares me too much to hang out the window and snap photos!

Bitsy Bum

I don't have kids to brag about yet, but I am an aunt so I gotta brag for a moment!

This is Tyleigh, my niece or as we call her Bitsy Bum. She is 14 months old. I had the chance to watch her for about 30 minutes today and she amazes me! She can say mom, dad, Jaedon, dog, cat, more and various other small words. She knows how to say mom and dad in sign language. She just learned where her belly button is and loves to show you. My mom has a family photo above the piano and Tyleigh loves to point to people when you say their name. She loves to eat food! She seriously loves anything you feed her and I love to see her face when she tries new things. She reminds me of my Uncle Leonard who adored food as well. She does this thing that we call piggy or puggy nose and she scrunches her nose up and sniffs like her pug dog, it is darn cute! I am just amazed at the comprehension that she has at 14 months old! I love her so much and can't wait to see her grow up even more. Wait, I take that back, she could stay this little forever! I love being an aunt and getting to know these cute little people. I will be an aunt of 3 this November and am very excited to meet my new nephew!

Happy 1 Year Anniversary!

September 12th was our 1 year anniversary of being in our house! I remember picking out our lot and the process of building the house and now it is our home! We love our house and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. We put in our sprinkling system and yard this year and within the next couple of years plan on finishing the basement. We have had several more neighbors move in and a couple more are in the process of building homes. We have created so many memories in our house (Thanksgiving with Chris' family, movie nights, BBQs, dinner parties) and hope that we can create many more!

Skydiving

For Christmas last year I got Chris a gift certificate to go skydiving (I know, I'm nuts)! He had mentioned earlier in the year that he had wanted to do it, so perfect gift! Well, here we are almost 1 year later and he just jumped on Sunday! He was not scared or nervous at all, I on the other hand had enough nerves for the both of us. He had a blast though and wants to do it again!
I am having trouble getting the video on the blog, so when my Blog-Pro friends come over Friday we will try and get it posted!

These are the pictures taken by Ogden Skydive
(It wouldn't let me shuffle the pics, sorry)

These are the pictures that I took!

Fall and Rain and Random Stuff

I know that I already posted about fall, but I need my ugly children to be on another page so I don't have to look at them. So I will keep posting random posts until they are gone!

I am loving the weather today! Chris and I have been sleeping with the windows open at night and this morning we woke up, cuddled, and smelled the rain! It was so nice. I love the smell of rain! I heard on the radio that it's been like 60 days since we had rain so it's great that we are getting some.

I wore a hoddie last night and loved it! No one made fun of me for wearing a jacket or hoddie in 90 degree weather, I actually needed it!

I'm so glad that we put in our yard in! I usually have to dust 3 times a week because the dogs were bringing in so much dirt from outside. But since we put the grass down, I haven't had to dust!

I got my late fall DownEast catalog and there are SO many cute things in it! I know that I just went shopping there, but I need to go again. Check out their website at http://www.downeastoutfitters.com/!

I am hoping that took up enough space to bump my ugly kids to the next page, if not i will try and find something better to blog about tomorrow!

Baby Got Back (Yard)

There will be a deck where you see dirt on the right

We have grass in the back yard! The Yard Natzi has left and my husband has returned. We will no longer be spending night after night getting the dirt ready and raking rocks(oh how I despise those rocks). Our nights will now be spent playing in the grass! Now we can BBQ in the backyard!!!

Happy Birthday!

My favorite nephew Jaedon turns 8 today! I remember how happy I was the day he was born and he has only made me happier. He is the best slurpee drinker, the best gum chewer, my favorite person to eat Cold Stone with, the best cartoon watcher, the biggest Sonic fan and the best big brother. Happy Birthday Dude!

What do you think about my little new baby Baby Gpie?

My cousin did this on her blog, so I thought I would give it a try. The first one is our son who will be born a child molester! The second is our daughter..I guess our girl will be born with dreads and a mustache! I have heard that 1 ugly person and 1 cute person make ugly kids, but I thought 2 cute people made cute babies? I better take that birth control and stay away from Chris! Oh and by the way, the first time I did our daughter she had a chicken costume on-odd!
