Lunch Advice

I am having a hard time coming up with ideas of what to pack for Conner to eat for lunch. I usually pack some combination of yogurt, pudding, cut up fruit, bananas, apple sauce and nuggets. He used to eat Easy Mac but won't anymore. I tried PB & J but he doesn't like that either. I am just stuck! Any other ideas???

That sounds about like what our lunch menu's consist of with quesadillas, turkey sandwiches, ramen and corn dogs/hot dogs thrown in the mix too.

Rowan LOVES cooked tofu. I just cut it up into little cubes and cook it with some butter in a pan until all sides are golden. It's so easy and fast and stores well. He also enjoys hummus spread on pita bread, grilled cheese, black or kidney beans, string cheese, homemade sweet potato fries (baked), and green beans to name a few. I am really loving the website weelicious.com I have found lots of fast, easy, and healthy recipes that rowan (and the rest of us) really likes.

cottage cheese (a staple), avacado (super healthy), anything on a tortilla, frozen meatballs and premade pasta...

sounds like everyone has mentioned what I was going to tell you. I rotate different types of crackers as well.

frozen veggies, so they are thawed by the time lunch rolls around. Teething baby loves it!! Jack didn't like PBJ till recetnly, but now he loves it! And pretty much any fruit, especially berries. Jacks diet is basically the fruit fast. You can also do the frozen fruit.

Thank you all for the advice! I learned today that a big part of it is he is wanting to feed himself. So if he holds the silverware and I help him, he eats it!

Cottage cheese is a big hit. My kids liked just cut up sandwich meats and cheese when they were little. FRUIT FRUIT FRUIT! I just stuck with whatever was in season (lower in cost). My kids loved oranges (cut up into slices) when they were little. I know it sounds gross but sometimes they would nibble on the peel... high in vitamins. Another one they really liked was noodles and butter with parmasian cheese sprinkled on top. I usually did this with elbow maccaroni (easy for self feeding).
